Engineer, Technology II

Technical expert that independently identifies, engineers, and optimizes new data, software, or technology solutions that address critical business needs. Continuously improve existing methods and processes. Read and adapt literature and publicly available information. Proficient across full-stack software development, data warehousing, statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and/or technology infrastructure (servers, storage, network connectivity, virtualization/cloud). Develop and maintain modern applications using C#, Python, and React, leveraging AI tools and methodologies to accelerate development and improve business outcomes. Aligned to an area: Information, Software, Data, or Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Independently design and develop data, software, or technology solutions to answer scientific or business questions.
- Build and maintain scalable full-stack applications using C#, Python, React, cloud services, and enterprise integration platforms.
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming, data integration, data warehousing, data visualization, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Use AI tools, machine learning, and modern software engineering to improve efficiency, quality, and business value.
- Collaborate with business and scientific stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions per architecture/standards.
- Escalate open issues; keep stakeholders informed; adjust approach to project objectives.
- Learn new methods/technologies; act as a resource/mentor.
- Organize and present project objectives/progress; contribute to technical publications/presentations.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Adhere to corporate standards (code of conduct, safety, GxP, data security, SDLC).

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering (or related) + 5+ years relevant experience; or Master’s + 4+ years.
- Modern software development practices: source control, CI/CD, automated testing, Agile.
- Full-stack experience with C#, Python, React, REST APIs, databases, and cloud technologies.
- Experience applying AI tools/generative AI and ML concepts in enterprise environments.

Preferred:
- Background in chemistry, biology, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical sciences, or other life sciences.
