Key Responsibilities:
- Provide product stewardship by developing subject matter expertise for products and processes to advance process/product quality, safety, supply, cost of goods, and continuous improvements.
- Conduct complex investigations and technical evaluations for unplanned manufacturing events; troubleshoot and lead process improvement projects based on findings.
- Lead cross-functional teams; develop detailed project timelines; follow up on open actions, publish reports, and escalate obstacles/challenges.
- Interface with other departments to complete assigned projects; occasionally represent Technical Services on sitewide projects.
- Design functional requirements, risk assessments, and protocols; generate and execute protocols for processes, products, and equipment.
- Document work in a cGMP environment; prepare project update presentations (laboratory notebooks, meeting summaries, status updates, protocols, reports).
- Interact with vendors and outside contractors/consultants; support project/trial financial estimates and annual budget/forecast duties.
- Provide off-shift/weekend support to Operations as necessary.
- Provide technical support to regulatory and management staff for MPD pharmaceutical components.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) and 5 years of pharmaceutical experience (equivalency of education/experience considered).
- Strong technical knowledge and critical thinking; troubleshooting skills; solid communication and writing skills.
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook; preference for statistical software knowledge (MiniTab).
