Role Summary

Engineer, Reliability II responsible for driving continuous equipment reliability improvements by providing and coordinating technical support and managing reliability improvement processes for the site. Leads key asset reliability, drives reliability of work processes and operating practices, and maintains the site's critical asset register along with the Reliability Engineering Plan, Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP), and related metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Support the siteโ€šร„รดs Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) by providing weekly and monthly reports and targeting critical equipment assets for optimization and continuous improvement activities.
  • Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety systems.
  • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and apply methods to prevent or reduce failures in site systems.
  • Analyze failure history to determine reliability characteristics of key systems and develop long-term solutions to recurring issues.
  • Develop and enforce an Asset Operations Plan Priorities to optimize utilization and operating efficiency of facility assets, and develop an Asset Maintenance Plan for sustaining effective maintenance for each plant asset on the asset register.
  • Adhere to Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) throughout the life cycle of new assets and conduct RCFA; analyze asset and production equipment performance including OEE, MTBF, and remaining useful life.
  • Generate asset management plan including value-added preventive maintenance tasks and determine effective use of predictive and non-destructive testing methods.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineering to review maintenance and installation plans for new equipment, providing reliability and maintainability specifications for changes.
  • Define risk management approaches to anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks with operational impact.
  • Follow guidelines to comply with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, FDA, EPA, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering required.
  • 2+ years reliability engineering experience required; some maintenance experience preferred.
  • Certified Reliability Technician certification preferred.
  • Total combined minimum years of experience required โ€šร„รฎ 2 years.
  • Skills: Basic technical skills with equipment; Healthcare/Pharmaceutical and/or Utilities processes; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
