Role Summary

Engineer - Process Control, 2nd shift. Develop and configure PLC/HMI codes, S88 batch processes, historian data, and data analytics to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing processes. Provide front-line automation support, participate in GMP change controls, and collaborate with Maintenance, IT, Engineering, and Manufacturing to coordinate plant activities and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert for Rockwell PLCs/HMIs, S88 batch processes, OSI PI historian, MS SQL reporting, data analytics tools, and electrical control systems.
  • Provide frontline support to troubleshoot PLC/HMI codes, instruments, and historian data collection systems.
  • Coordinate with contractors and work with cross-functional teams on data analytics and reporting.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and deliver professional Process Control and/or Electrical support for manufacturing operations.
  • Represent Engineering on cross-functional process teams; lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, deviations, and continuous improvement projects related to data review/monitoring, audit trails, and electrical engineering.
  • Interact with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process Engineers, Plant Engineering, Validation, Quality, and other functions to support operations.
  • Monitor data for process improvements and issue resolution; author/review/approve change controls, deviations, SOPs, drawings, schematics, and work orders.
  • Identify knowledge gaps in Process Control and Data Integrity; provide engineering support and project management for Process Control and Building Management Systems enhancements.
  • Develop project scopes, user requirements, design and functional specifications, and engineering drawings; oversee procurement and coordination with consultants/contractors; lead installation, startup, commissioning, and qualification activities.
  • Provide on-call after-hours and weekend support to ensure continuous production; maintain required training and pursue ongoing technical development.
  • Adhere to cGMP, safety, and ethical standards in all duties.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial automation experience (considering recent graduates).
  • Deep technical knowledge of Rockwell PLC/HMI systems; OSI PI Historian, MS SQL, and data analytics tools.
  • Experience with automation systems in GMP environments; frontline support experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
