Role Summary

Engineer III based in Lexington, MA. Full-time role with up to 20% remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Independently carry out bioreactor operations across scales from 250 ml to 10 L.
  • Prepare experimental protocols and support tech transfer of developed cell culture processes to pilot and manufacturing facilities.
  • Design experiments, interpret data, identify complex technical issues, and implement solutions under supervision.
  • Contribute to technical reports by writing and consolidating technical documents; participate in cross-functional projects.
  • Support process development, optimization, characterization, troubleshooting, large-scale studies, and project goals.
  • Support technology transfer through documentation, batch record reviews, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Contribute to evaluation of new technology/equipment applicable across programs.
  • Document data per company guidelines; draft technical reports, memos, procedures, protocols, and presentations; present to department and project teams.
  • Execute bioreactor operations, clarifications, and purification using high-throughput systems (e.g., AMBR250, Tecan).

Qualifications

  • Required: Masterโ€šร„รดs degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related Pharmaceutical Science.
  • Required: Experience executing bioreactor operations, primary clarification, and purification using high-throughput systems (e.g., AMBR250, Tecan); design experiments to assess and optimize process performance; interpret data and implement solutions.
  • Required: Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support tech transfer to Pilot, Manufacturing, and external CDMOs; author and revise technical documents including SOPs and development reports.
  • Required: Cross-training team members on analytical instruments and techniques; conduct product quality testing using tools such as Solo-VPE, Lunatic, HPLC, UPLC, and UV spectrophotometer.

Education

  • Masterโ€šร„รดs degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related Pharmaceutical Science.
