Engineer - Design Lead

Role: Design Lead within Lilly's Global Facilities Delivery organization, overseeing design for pharmaceutical manufacturing capital projects focused on medical innovation and supply chain resilience. Responsibilities: manage design standards, coordinate all design phases, lead development of design requirements, select and collaborate with A/E firms, monitor project schedules and budgets, resolve design issues, and support value engineering initiatives. Qualifications: BS in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related), minimum 10 years of manufacturing/engineering experience supporting pharmaceutical or API networks, with strong project management and conflict resolution skills. Preferred: experience in chemical or mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical process, and project engineering, with the ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate decision-making. High-Value: 25% domestic/international travel, potential for co-location during construction and commissioning, and work on projects supporting pharma manufacturing expansion or process improvements.
