Responsibilities:
- Provide automation support for one or more operating areas and/or capital projects at the Lilly Medicine Foundry.
- Ensure reliable, compliant control applications and systems are used in manufacturing; provide productivity and mentorship to employees.
- Serve as a key technical expert to influence and implement process control priorities, business plan needs, and compliance objectives.
- Support project delivery and startup (2025โ€“2029) by developing/implementing systems and GMP business processes and building site culture.
- Administer and configure Foundry DeltaV- and Rockwell-controlled process PLC equipment and integrate analytical systems into PLC workflows (including recipe setup and maintenance).

Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Provide day-to-day administration/configuration support for Laboratory and Analytical equipment site-wide.
- Support third-party vendors during analytical system implementation and qualification.
- Execute configuration, access, and data-integration tasks under direction of the Senior Engineerโ€”Analytical Systems Support.

Operational Excellence:
- Support commissioning and configuration validation for third-party analytical systems.
- Administer user access; manage/integrate data (PI and other repositories/DCS) and perform backup/restore.
- Support Empower, LIMS (LabVantage), MES, and ELN integration touchpoints under Senior Engineer direction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine analytical system issues; escalate complex issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configuration/access changes; coordinate with PLC Systems Support as needed.

Organizational Capability:
- Attention to detail and task follow-through; strong written/verbal communication.
- Knowledge of GMP and computer system validation basics.

Basic Requirements:
- B.S. in Engineering (or related scientific discipline) and 2+ years supporting Analytical/Laboratory systems.
- Exposure to analytical instrument software/data systems (e.g., Empower, LabX, UNICORN).
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Additional Preferences:
- Experience with LIMS/ELN and Empower, LabX, UNICORN (or similar).
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or other regulated laboratory environment.
