Role Summary

Engineer - ADN RAMP Team is a cross-functional startup support role focused on rapid startup of new API/Dry Product sites. You will apply process control and automation engineering fundamentals to enable safe, right-first-time facility start-ups, coach local teams, and develop capability to accelerate site start-ups across the network. The role involves direct technical execution, collaboration with site engineering teams, and building ongoing operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide process control and automation engineering expertise to the Global Facility Delivery team and Site Process & Automation Engineering team, focusing on safe, right-first-time delivery and on-time facility start-up
  • Consult and solve problems related to process controls, Emerson DeltaV DCS systems, operational readiness, and C&Q support
  • Coach and develop local technical team capabilities to accelerate operational excellence and technical skills
  • Apply root cause analysis to investigate process and equipment issues and implement robust corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor, assess, and document equipment performance to maintain ongoing qualification of assets
  • Maintain safety basis for process equipment

Qualifications

  • Required: BS degree in Engineering or related science field with 8β€šΓ„Γ¬10 years' experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Required: Deep technical knowledge of process control/automation systems including DeltaV DCS, automation architecture, and system integration with MES and other IT platforms
  • Preferred: Technical knowledge in additional automation platforms (Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell Automation, Siemens or related systems)
  • Preferred: Technical knowledge in process instrumentation and batch control
  • Preferred: System integration knowledge with Emersonβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Syncade MES platform
  • Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communications, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred: Collaborative skills with operations, process engineering, and other process team members; ability to coach others; ability to influence without authority; ability to clarify and simplify complex issues; strong trust-building with peers and leaders
