Employment Counsel

Role: Senior Employment Counsel advising Biogen's Global HR on employment law and workforce relations across worldwide operations. Responsibilities: providing strategic legal counsel on employment matters throughout the employee lifecycle; managing investigations and disputes involving discrimination, harassment, and misconduct; overseeing global employment compliance, policies, and governance; collaborating with internal teams and external counsel; monitoring legal developments and translating them into practical guidance. Requirements: Juris Doctor and at least 12 years of progressive employment law experience, with deep U.S. employment law expertise and international HR law familiarity; experience managing investigations, disputes, and outside counsel; licensed or eligible in Massachusetts; strong stakeholder management skills. Preferred: in-house experience supporting life sciences or healthcare organizations, experience with global works councils, M&A, reorganizations, and cross-border workforce mobility; experience in public companies and multinational settings.
