The Position:
- Improve Systems & Equipment Reliability on assigned process, reduce system/equipment downtime, and support operation of assigned process.
Relationships:
- Reports to Supervisor, Calibration.
Essential Functions:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Develop maintenance procedures, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance.
- Interpret mechanical/electrical specifications, drawings, and technical data.
- Document maintenance activities in SAP.
- Partner with process owners to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Train fellow technicians; learn new systems.
- Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools for Root Cause Analysis.
- Implement equipment/work practice changes and improvements.
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing to troubleshoot.
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements.
Physical Requirements (high level):
- Move supplies/equipment up to 33 lbs; be on feet up to 12-hour shifts; may require ladder/elevated heights, confined spaces, hazardous/odorous materials, hearing/vision requirements, and driving exam for powered industrial trucks.
Qualifications:
- Required: Associateโs degree in relevant field + 5 yearsโ experience/knowledge in mechanical, electrical and/or control systems.
- OR: High school diploma/equivalent + 7+ yearsโ relevant experience with thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical & control systems.
- Knowledgeable in Process Areas listed above.
- Experience with SAP/CMMS.
- Proficiency reading schematics/wiring diagrams and technical documents; computer literacy.
- Ability to use meters, signal generators, HART/Trex devices, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
- Systematic approach to problem solving/troubleshooting.
- Support event response activities; document problems and drive to solution.
- Preferred: Experience planning/organizing work and revising plans to align with daily work plan.
