East Area Sales Director (ASD), Solid Tumor โ Oncology Sales
Responsibilities
- Drive sales results; motivate and lead the team in a rare/competitive oncology market.
- Directly manage 5 Regional Directors (RDs); execute and implement sales strategies and performance.
- Maintain expertise in the oncology market (ALK+NSCLC, mCRC) and stay current on industry trends.
- Partner with Marketing, Patient Value & Access (PVA), Strategic Account Managers, Medical Affairs, and other sales franchises.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize growth.
- Supervise, train, and motivate RDs and Oncology Territory Managers; represent sales on cross-functional Lung Integrated Brand Team meetings.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) focused on people, performance, execution, and growth opportunities in priority accounts.
- Influence programs to meet changing sales/customer needs; understand and follow healthcare industry laws/regulations.
- Partner with Head of Sales on sales plans, educational needs, and corporate sales activities.
- Recruit, retain, develop, and performance-manage a high-performance sales team.
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelorโs degree (Masterโs preferred).
- 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience.
- 5+ years oncology sales management (front-line and second-line leadership preferred).
- Knowledge of oncology sales processes (targeting/segmentation, planning, objective setting, training, execution, performance management, reward/recognition).
- Strong leadership, creative problem-solving, team partnership; excellent presentation (verbal/written).
- Strong oncology business acumen and account knowledge (community + academic centers in the U.S.).
- High science aptitude; ability to assimilate complex oncology/competitive information.
- Valid U.S. driverโs license in good standing.
Preferred
- Experience with rare oncology disease states; growth mindset; prior roles in Marketing/Market Access/Training; national/area roles with major oncology accounts.
Travel
- ~25โ30% (some evening programs and weekend conferences/congresses).
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Base salary range: $242,400โ$333,300 (U.S.); may be eligible for short-/long-term incentives.
