Role Summary
Donor Center Technician position in a plasma center focusing on pre-donation screening, donor assessment, and confidential handling of donor information, with an emphasis on customer service and efficient donor flow. Location: Myrtle Beach, SC, USA.
Responsibilities
- Conducts pre-donation medical screening.
- Interacts with donors and responds to their needs.
- Assesses donor suitability and engages in set-up.
- Provides appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates.
- Ensures all donor screening information is complete and donor confidentiality is maintained.

Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms.
- Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment; personal protective equipment required.
- Exposure to extreme cold (below 32 degrees F) while operating in a plasma freezer.
- Work may involve standing or sitting for the entire shift, bending and twisting of the neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day.
- Frequent hand movements and fine motor tasks; ability to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.
- Frequent foot movement; occasional squatting or kneeling; light lifting up to 50 lbs (with typical lift around 15 lbs).
- Hearing, near and far vision, and color perception requirements; vision/hearing must be adequate to follow instructions and perform tasks.
- Ability to listen, understand information presented verbally or in writing, and work under guidance.
- Ability to perform a wide range of tasks under variable demands and changing conditions and to relate information to diverse groups.
