Role Summary
Donor Center Technician at Grifols. Join an international team dedicated to improving healthcare by supporting donor screening and the donation process in a plasma center. You will conduct pre-donation medical screening, interact with donors, assess suitability, and ensure donor confidentiality. Location: Bowling Green, OH (Wooster St) and surrounding center locations.
Responsibilities
- Conducts pre-donation medical screening.
- Interaction and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Assesses donor suitability and engages in set-up.
- Provides appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates.
- Ensures all donor screening information is complete.
- Ensures donor confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Required: Superior customer service standards.
- Required: High School diploma or GED.
- Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Required: An interest in making a difference in the world.
- Required: Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable.
Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms.
- Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment. Exposure to extreme cold below 32 degrees F while working in a plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment such as protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold gear are required.
- Work is performed sitting or standing for the entire shift, including bending and twisting of the neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day. Frequent hand movement and fine finger dexterity required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs (light lifting up to 15 lbs).
- Hearing acuity essential; color perception and near/far vision requirements; must be able to follow oral or written instructions and adapt to changing conditions.
