Role Summary
Donor Center Technician. Location: Longview, Texas. Conducts pre-donation medical screening, assesses donor suitability, and engages in set-up to support a smooth, confidential donation experience in a plasma center. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, superior customer service, a flexible schedule, and applicable state licensure or certifications. The ideal candidate is patient, able to handle multiple tasks, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conducts pre-donation medical screening.
- Interacts with and responds to donor needs.
- Assesses donor suitability and engages in set-up.
- Provides feedback to ineligible donor candidates.
- Ensures all donor screening information is complete.
- Maintains donor confidentiality.

Education

Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms.
- Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment; requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear.
- Work is performed sitting or standing for the entire shift, with bending and twisting of the neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day; frequent hand movement and fine motor tasks.
- Light lifting up to 50 lbs; may reach below shoulder height; hearing, near vision, and color perception requirements apply.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks under variable demands and changing conditions.
