Role Summary

The Donor Center Technician supports Grifols’ plasma donation operations in a center setting. You will conduct pre-donation medical screening, interact with donors to meet their needs, assess donor suitability, and ensure donor screening information is complete and confidential. The role requires flexibility, strong customer service, and adherence to safety procedures. Location: Lorain, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts pre-donation medical screening.
  • Interacts with donors and responds to donor needs.
  • Assesses donor suitability and assists with center setup.
  • Provides feedback to ineligible donor candidates.
  • Ensures all donor screening information is complete.
  • Maintains donor confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED (required).
  • Superior customer service standards (required).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (required).
  • Interest in making a difference in the world (required).
  • Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable (required).

Education

  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Requirements

  • Occupational demands include work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms; exposure to electrical equipment; and exposure to extreme cold in plasma freezers.
  • Work may require sitting or standing for the entire shift; bending and twisting of the neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day.
  • Frequent hand and finger movements, with the ability to manipulate objects; precise hand coordination; frequent foot movement; potential for light lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Hearing, color perception, near and far vision, and ability to follow oral or written instructions.
