Responsibilities:
- Cover the Midwest district: Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales and marketing direction; implement district sales strategy/business plan through the team.
- Build and maintain customer relationships; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information as required.
- Provide timely feedback to sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team and sales performance using territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical execution, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach, counsel, and develop direct reports; ensure accountability and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies/procedures; uphold high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share best practices; serve as liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Apply organizational change management tools as needed.
- Create a high-performing, solution-oriented environment; balance long-term strategy with immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction to sales teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (education/experience combination considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience (medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience preferred).
- Travel 60β70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record; authorization/ability to drive Company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Salary range: $148,000 - $222,000 (exact compensation may vary by skills, experience, and location).
