Responsibilities:
- Manage the Midwest district (PA, OH, MI, IN, IL); develop and execute district sales strategy/business plan to meet/exceed sales and market share objectives.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team and territory performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical execution, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach and counsel direct reports to drive performance and accountability and support professional development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; uphold high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share best practices across the district; act as liaison between home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing environment focused on professional development, accountability, and immediate results alongside long-term strategy.
- Exercise fiscal control over allocated operating budgets; cascade direction from Regional Director (marketing/standards) to sales teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience (medical devices or other healthcare product sales preferred).
- Travel 60โ70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverโs License; acceptable driving record.
- Authorization/ability to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
