Key responsibilities:
- The East Coast district includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction; implement the district sales strategy/business plan through the team.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key decision makers; respond timely; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular feedback to sales reps; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team and sales/territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach, counsel, and develop direct reports; ensure accountability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies/procedures; uphold high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share best practices; serve as liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply appropriate tools.
- Create a high-performing team environment focused on development and accountability; drive immediate results with long-term vision.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade direction from Regional Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60β70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record; authorization to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental.
- Proficiency in English (speaking/reading/writing/comprehending).
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare product sales experience.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000β$222,000 (exact compensation varies by skills, experience, and location).
