Key Responsibilities:
- Own Central district performance across Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky; develop/enhance sales performance to meet annual sales and market share objectives and execute the district sales strategy.
- Build and maintain customer relationships; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage/purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide timely feedback to sales reps; identify performance gaps early; create action plans; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team/sales/territory performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (e.g., reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical execution, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and reps; promote open communication; share “Best Practices”; liaise with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Apply change management tools to manage organizational change impact.
- Create a high-performing, accountability-focused team environment; balance long-term strategy with immediate results.
- Manage allocated operating budgets; follow Regional Director direction and cascade to sales teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Preferred: prior District Manager experience and/or medical devices or other healthcare product sales experience.
- Travel 60–70% (overnight travel included); must reside in district geography.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record; authorization/ability to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental.
- English proficiency (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Salary Range: $148,000–$222,000 (exact compensation varies by skills, experience, and location).
