This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, and/or Orlando.

Purpose
- Coordinate commercial activity within in-field teams to ensure sales targets are reached for an assigned geography by creating, implementing, and communicating a District Sales Plan and monitoring progress.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets; maximize market/segment/team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results.
- Ensure smooth, collaborative execution (day-to-day and long-term); set tone and pace for business processes.
- Lead teams with a market and franchise/business point of view by mastering product/disease state information and market dynamics (including Managed Care).
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in the business planning process.
- Consistently exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business (preferred) or relevant equivalent experience.
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Proven District Manager leadership; in good standing with safety/compliance; 4+ years pharmaceutical sales management experience (external management considered); meeting performance expectations; demonstrates leadership attributes.
- Prior District Manager experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent judgment/decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments/therapeutic areas.
- Ability to give candid feedback, manage performance, and develop talent for promotional opportunities.
- Create a culture of winning; influence across organizations without authority.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for entry into assigned facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, state/city licenses); must be in good standing/eligible.
- Valid driverโ€™s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
