This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (Las Vegas, Nevada; Sacramento, CA; Fresno, CA; St. George, Utah).
Coordinate commercial activity within in-field teams to ensure targets are reached for increasing sales within an assigned geography. Create, implement, and communicate a District Sales Plan and monitor progress.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets; maximize market/segment/team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results.
- Ensure smooth, collaborative day-to-day and long-term business execution; set tone and pace for business processes.
- Lead teams with a market/franchise point of view; develop mastery of product and disease state information and market dynamics, including Managed Care.
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in business planning; exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field (preferred) or relevant equivalent industry experience (required).
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Minimum four years pharmaceutical sales management experience; in good standing with safety and compliance; meeting performance expectations; demonstrates Leadership Attributes.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments/therapeutic areas.
- Ability to deliver candid feedback, manage performance, and develop talent for promotional opportunities.
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement.
- Satisfy all health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements for assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and required licenses). Must be in good standing/eligible.
- Drive personal auto or company vehicle/equipment.
- Valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
