Responsibilities:
- Coordinate in-field team activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets; maximize market/segment/team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day and long-term business execution; set tone and pace for business process.
- Lead teams with a market/franchise perspective by developing mastery of product/disease state information and market dynamics (including Managed Care).
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in the business planning process; exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business (preferred) or relevant/equivalent industry experience (required).
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Minimum 4 years pharmaceutical sales management experience; proven District Manager leadership; in good standing with safety and compliance standards; meeting performance expectations; demonstrates leadership attributes.
- Excellent judgment/decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments/therapeutic areas.
- Proven ability to deliver candid feedback and manage performance; develop talent.
- Ability to create a winning culture with full team engagement.
- Satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities in territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses).
- Drive personal/company vehicle or powered equipment; valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
