This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (Las Vegas, Nevada; Sacramento, CA; Fresno, CA; St. George, Utah). Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets; maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day and long-term business execution; set tone and pace for business process and organization.
- Lead teams with a market and franchise/business point of view; develop mastery of product and disease state information and relevant market dynamics (including Managed Care).
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in business planning process and consistently exemplify AbbVie Ways of Working.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Proven District Manager leadership: in good standing with safety and compliance standards; minimum four years pharmaceutical sales management experience (external management experience considered); meeting performance expectations; demonstrates Leadership Attributes and the AbbVie Way.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
- Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback, manage performance, and develop talent.
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement.
- Ability to satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for entry into facilities in assigned territory (background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and required state/city licenses may be included); must be in good standing/eligible to obtain credentials.
- Driving a personal auto or company car/truck or powered material handling equipment; valid driverโs license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
