District Manager, Pain - Virginia-Tennessee

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction within the district.
- Implement the district sales strategy (business plan) through the team.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information as required.
- Provide regular, candid, and timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team and territory sales performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical execution, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach/counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure all business is conducted in compliance with Company policies and promote compliance by sales representatives; uphold high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share district “best practices”; serve as liaison with home office/district to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Assess and manage organizational change-management needs.
- Create a high-performing, accountable team environment; balance strategic view with driving immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience (preferred).
- Ability to travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Authorization/ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehension, reading, writing required).
