Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet or exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute district sales strategy through the team.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges early and create plans to address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to termination.
- Analyze team performance using sales figures and territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company policies and procedures; uphold high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director/direct reports; share “Best Practices” across the district; serve as liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess and manage organizational change using appropriate tools.
- Create a high-performing team environment emphasizing development and accountability; drive immediate results with long-term strategy.
- Exercise fiscal control of allocated operating budgets.
- Take direction from Regional Director (e.g., marketing/standards) and cascade within teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
