District Manager, Pain - San Francisco

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet or exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; implement the district sales strategy/business plan through the team.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges early and create plans to close gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team/sales performance and territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, adherence to strategy, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Conduct business in compliance with Company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; promote best practices across the district; serve as liaison to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing team environment emphasizing professional development and accountability; drive immediate results with long-term strategic focus.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade and follow direction from Regional Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60β70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record; ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental.
- Proficiency speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare product sales experience.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000β$222,000 (varies by skills, experience, and location).
