Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute district sales strategy through the team.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage/purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges; create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team and sales/territory performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (e.g., reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures; demonstrate high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share best practices; act as liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess and manage organizational change management needs.
- Create a high-performing team environment; eliminate barriers; balance long-term strategy with immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade and follow Regional Director direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience (medical devices or other healthcare products preferred).
- Travel 60β70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record.
- Authorization/ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
