District Manager, Pain - NYC Metro

Key responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute district sales strategy/business plan through the team.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers; respond professionally and timely; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information as required.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges early and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team performance and sales/territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and development; ensure accountability.
- Ensure Company business is conducted in compliance with applicable Company policies/procedures and maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; foster open communication; share “Best Practices” across the district; serve as liaison to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing environment emphasizing professional development and accountability; eliminate barriers; drive immediate results with long-term strategy.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction regarding marketing/standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record; authorization to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare product sales experience.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000–$222,000 (exact compensation varies by skills/experience/location).
