District Manager, Pain - Los Angeles

Key responsibilities:
- The Los Angeles district includes key markets in California and Hawaii.
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual company sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction and the district sales strategy (business plan).
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond timely/professionally; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage/purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team and sales/territory performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach/counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; compile/exchange district “Best Practices”; liaison with home office and district to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Apply organizational change management tools as needed.
- Create a high-performing team environment focused on professional development, accountability, and immediate results; foster a solution-oriented winning vision.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Preferred: Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
- Travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; authorization/ability to drive company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
