District Manager, Pain - Houston

Key responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; implement district sales strategy through the team.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers; respond to needs in a timely/professional manner; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team performance and sales figures/territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, adherence to strategy, tactical implementation, proper use of funds, systems, and tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and support professional development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company policies/procedures; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; promote open communication; share “Best Practices” across the district; liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing team environment; foster solution-oriented vision; balance strategic view with immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction (marketing/standards) to sales teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Preferred: prior pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare product sales experience.
- Travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000–$222,000 (varies by skills, experience, and location).
