District Manager, Pain - Chicago

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute district sales strategy to develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance; meet or exceed annual sales and market share objectives.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and update contract information.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance issues early; create plans to address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team performance, sales figures, and territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (e.g., reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical execution, proper use of funds/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach, counsel, and develop direct reports to maximize performance and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share “best practices” across the district; liaise with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Exercise fiscal control over allocated operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction (e.g., marketing/standards).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior District Manager experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales (medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience preferred).
- Ability to travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; authorization to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
