Role Summary
Field-based District Manager for Buy & Bill, leading in-field commercial teams in Prostate Cancer/Urology and OB/GYN. Responsible for coordinating district activities to achieve sales targets and for creating, implementing, and communicating the District Sales Plan. Will operate across large institutions and private practices and must learn Buy & Bill processes. Requires living within a reasonable distance to a primary city and major airport; geography includes Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Northern California.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and motivate commercial teams to achieve district sales goals.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive culture focused on teamwork and shared success.
- Create, implement, and communicate District Sales Plans; monitor progress and adapt as needed.
- Operate effectively in Buy & Bill environments across both large institutions and private practices.
- Apply expertise in disease states, including Prostate Cancer/Urology and OB/GYN.
- Coordinate in-field activities to achieve targets. Maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive both top- and bottom-line results.
- Ensure smooth, collaborative efforts in both daily operations and long-term business execution. Set the tone and pace for business processes and organizational effectiveness.
- Understand and present market and franchise/business perspectives when leading teams and championing in-field meetings, by developing mastery of product and disease state information, as well as relevant market dynamics, including the managed care landscape.
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members to enhance individual skills and elevate overall team performance. Hold direct reports accountable for behaviors and performance expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners during the business planning process.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- Strong business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Proven leadership experience, previous field leadership experience is preferred (external and other leadership management experience will be considered). Must be in good standing with safety and compliance standards, currently meeting performance expectations, living the AbbVie Way, and effectively demonstrating leadership attributes.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to clearly articulate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
- Demonstrated ability to provide candid, effective feedback, efficiently manage performance, and develop talent for promotional opportunities.
- Proven ability to foster a culture of winning and full team engagement.
- This role requires satisfying all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in your assigned territory. You must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
- Valid driverβs license, the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test, and compliance with safe driving requirements.
