Field-based role. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance of Albany and White Plains, New York.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets; maximize market/segment/team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day and long-term business execution; set tone and pace for business processes.
- Lead teams using a market/franchise point of view; develop mastery of product and disease-state information and market dynamics (including Managed Care).
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in business planning; exemplify AbbVie Ways of Working.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business (preferred) or equivalent industry experience (required).
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Proven District Manager leadership: in good standing with safety/compliance; minimum 4 years pharmaceutical sales management experience; meeting performance expectations; demonstrates Leadership Attributes and โAbbVie Way.โ
- Excellent judgment and decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments/therapeutic areas.
- Ability to deliver candid feedback, manage performance, and develop talent for promotional opportunities.
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement.
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses.
- Ability to drive personal auto or company vehicle/equipment; valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screen and meet safe driving requirements.
