The Position
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced, high-impact District Manager to lead and develop a team of Sales Representatives within the cardiometabolic franchise, driving launch excellence and sustained growth.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and onboard high-caliber Sales Representatives.
- Provide structured field coaching (ride-alongs, performance reviews, individualized development plans).
- Develop sales capability (clinical acumen, account planning, access navigation, compliant promotional execution).
- Foster a culture of accountability, ethical behavior, collaboration, and high performance.
- Identify succession talent and build a leadership pipeline.
- Own district-level sales targets, performance metrics, and forecast accuracy.
- Translate national/regional strategy into actionable district business plans.
- Analyze performance data, prescribing trends, and territory insights; conduct business reviews and corrective actions.
- Ensure disciplined CRM utilization and activity tracking.
- Guide territory planning discipline; optimize call plans.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality HCP engagement; monitor leading indicators (call activity, speaker programs, adoption).
- Drive launch readiness and pull-through across priority accounts.
- Partner with Regional Sales Director; coordinate with Key Account Managers on IDN strategy.
- Collaborate with Health IT, Market Access, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to remove barriers to adoption.
- Ensure adherence to promotional, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Model and reinforce compliant behavior; manage district budgets.
- Extensive field travel (~70%); attend regional/national meetings, training programs, and launch events.

Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Prior field leadership or formal mentoring experience (strongly preferred).
- Specialty, rare disease, or cardiovascular experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated success in launch environments/high-growth franchises (highly desirable).

- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams.

Compensation
- Anticipated salary range: $185K–$215K
