Role Summary

District Business Manager, Oncology/Hematology- OR/CA. Leads a district of oncology/hematology sales professionals, responsible for delivering approved disease and product information to key decision makers, driving business goals, and developing the team within a dynamic sales organization.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of highly motivated sales professionals by creating and articulating a vision for the district that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Analyzes performance data, market trends, and market access dynamics; builds strategic business plans to address challenges and opportunities.
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of BMS Hematology products, marketplace, and disease states; coaches the team to exemplary selling skills and knowledge.
  • Facilitates growth and development of team members based on needs, motivation, and business requirements.
  • Creates an environment of continuous learning where team members feel challenged and engaged.
  • Leads the group through change while maintaining focus on current and future business needs.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of BMS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, or other related industry experience.
  • Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales, or equivalent experience in leading and managing high performing teams is required.
  • Hematology experience strongly preferred, including understanding of Hematology reimbursement, access and distribution environment.
  • Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed expectations and goals.
  • Proven ability to select, develop and retain talented individuals.
  • Experience requiring analytical and selling skills, development of strong business acumen, and knowledge of the market access environment.
  • Eligibility to operate a company-provided vehicle; requirements of Qualified Driver as determined by the Company (including age, valid driver's license, and acceptable driving risk level).
