Role Summary
The District Business Manager leads a team of motivated sales professionals in Oncology/Hematology, responsible for delivering approved disease and product information to key decision makers and stakeholders to positively impact patient outcomes. They inspire and motivate the team to reach and exceed business goals while supporting growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Leads a team of highly motivated sales professionals by creating and articulating a vision for the district that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Analyzes performance data, market trends, and market access dynamics; builds strategic business plans to address challenges and opportunities.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of Hematology products, the Hematology marketplace, and relevant competitive products; models and coaches the team in selling skills and disease-state knowledge.
- Facilitates the growth and development of team members based on their needs, motivation, and business requirements.
- Creates an environment of continuous learning where team members feel challenged and engaged.
- Leads the group through change while maintaining focus on current and future business needs.
- Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, or related industry experience.
- Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales or equivalent leadership of high performing teams is required.
- Hematology experience strongly preferred, including understanding of Hematology reimbursement, access, and distribution.
- Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed goals; successful history of selecting, developing, and retaining talent.
- Experience requiring analytical skills, selling skills, and strong business acumen with knowledge of the market access environment.
- Eligibility to operate a company-provided vehicle, including meeting driver requirements (age, license, driving risk level) as determined by the company.
