Role Summary
The District Business Manager leads a team of motivated sales professionals in Hematology, providing approved, disease and product information to key decision makers and stakeholders to improve patient outcomes. This role requires inspiring and managing a team to reach and exceed business goals while developing growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Leads a team of highly motivated sales professionals by creating and articulating a vision for the district aligned with organizational objectives.
- Analyzes performance data, market trends, market access dynamics, and builds strategic business plans to address challenges and opportunities.
- Demonstrates clear understanding of BMS Hematology products, marketplace, competitive products, and disease area; coaches the team to strong selling skills and disease state knowledge.
- Facilitates growth and development of team members based on needs, motivation, and business requirements.
- Creates an environment of continuous learning where team members feel challenged and engaged.
- Leads a group effectively through change while focusing on current and future business needs.
- Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of BMS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, or related industry experience.
- Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales or equivalent leadership of high-performing teams.
- Hematology experience strongly preferred, including understanding of reimbursement, access and distribution in Hematology.
- Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed goals.
- Proven ability to select, develop and retain talented individuals.
- Experience applying analytical skills, selling skills, and developing strong business acumen with knowledge of market access.
- Driver eligibility: Company-provided vehicle required; must meet qualifications for a Qualified Driver as determined by the Company (age, license, driving risk level).
