Role Summary
The District Business Manager leads a team of sales professionals within Oncology/Hematology, responsible for delivering approved disease and product information to key decision makers and stakeholders, and for reaching or exceeding business goals while fostering growth and development within the team.
Responsibilities
- Leads a team of highly motivated sales professionals by creating and articulating a district vision aligned with organizational objectives.
- Analyzes performance data, market trends, and market access dynamics; builds strategic business plans to address challenges and opportunities.
- Demonstrates in-depth understanding of Hematology products, the Hematology marketplace, and competitive landscape; coaches the team in selling skills and product/disease state knowledge.
- Fosters growth and development of team members based on needs, motivation, and business requirements.
- Creates an environment of continuous learning where team members are challenged and engaged.
- Effectively leads a group through change while maintaining focus on current and future business needs.
- Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, or related industry experience.
- Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales or equivalent leadership of high-performing teams.
- Hematology experience strongly preferred, including understanding of Hematology reimbursement, access, and distribution environment.
- Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed expectations and goals.
- Proven ability to select, develop, and retain talented individuals.
- Experience requiring analytical skills, selling skills, strong business acumen, and knowledge of the market access environment.
- Eligibility to operate a company-provided vehicle, including meeting company-defined driver qualifications (e.g., age, license, driving risk level).
