Role Summary

The Director, US Real World Evidence & Health Outcomes (US RWE/HO), Anti-infectives and Respiratory, leads the development and execution of a strategic, high-impact evidence package to demonstrate value of US assets; collaborates with field-based medical and payer teams to gather US reimbursement and access insights; represents US RWE/HO on matrix teams and supports internal decision-making during product development and commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, management and implementation of US RWE/HO strategies and tactics within assigned therapeutic areas to support medical and commercial objectives during development, launch, and life cycle management.
  • Partner with cross-functional matrix teams to represent evidence generation needs for the US Market; provide health outcomes information to support decision-making during product development, commercialization and life cycle management.
  • Represent US RWE/HO on appropriate initiatives; participate in global and regional matrix teams to assess planning factors/impacts in development, pre-launch, launch and life cycle management strategies.
  • Implement US RWE/HO strategies during life cycle management to secure reimbursement, market access/formulary listing, promotion and pricing.
  • Apply negotiation skills to maximize the value of US RWE/HO for the company's products.
  • Plan, track and adjust US RWE/HO projects with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely, on-budget delivery; document changes from plan.
  • Assure quality of deliverables including study protocols, data analysis plans, final reports, abstracts, posters and manuscripts, ensuring SOP adherence.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of internal customer needs for US RWE/HO deliverables and align with Field Based Payer Medical Teams to obtain external insights for reimbursement and access.
  • Ensure required training and SOP adherence; interface with cross-functional matrix teams including Field Based Payer Medical Teams, Internal Medical Affairs, Global RWE/HO, Epidemiology, Quantitative Sciences, Market Access and Brand Marketing.
  • Manage vendors in the execution of US RWE/HO projects.

Qualifications

  • Required: PhD or Master’s degree in health economics and outcomes research or related discipline (e.g., economics, sociology, epidemiology), or PharmD.
  • Required: 5+ years’ experience in Real-World Evidence/HEOR for PhD candidates, or 8+ years’ HEOR experience for Master’s degree or PharmD candidates.
  • Required: 3+ years US market experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Required: Strong publication record in health economics and/or outcomes research; deep experience of US reimbursement systems and US healthcare market dynamics.

Education
