Director, Trade Contracting

Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain GSK Trade/Channel contracts; manage contracting lifecycle (strategy, drafting, negotiation, execution, and amendments).
- Partner across Trade, Market Access, Commercial, Legal, FMV Compliance, Trade Operations, Trade Performance & Analytics, Contract & Chargeback Ops, and Finance.
- Build relationships with GSK/ViiV Trade Partners and maintain clear communication.
- Oversee trade distribution segments: wholesalers, distributors (vaccines, oncology, immunology, respiratory specialty, anti-infectives), specialty pharmacies, and digital pharmacy.
- Provide contracting support for ViiV Healthcare distribution.
- Ensure distribution and service agreement contracts align with Fair Market Value compliance standards and legal guidance.
- Negotiate contract terms with external customers collaboratively with internal sales/strategy stakeholders.
- Review and approve quarterly wholesaler/distributor Fee-For-Service (FFS) payments based on performance vs. Trade Agreement metrics.
- Ensure bona fide service offering is compliant and competitive with FFS Compliance and external vendors.
- Support Terms of Sale/Terms of Purchase updates for direct purchasers (e.g., GSKDirect.com).
- Contribute to Trade Strategy business case proposals to the SPC forum.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (business-related).
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical, channel/trade, market access, or distribution.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical channel/trade and specialty product distribution.
- Analytics experience (data management, financial modeling, data-driven recommendations).
- Strategic implementation and business case development experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA/advanced degree.
- Strong internal/external stakeholder partnerships.
- Track record negotiating with large, complex customers.
- Ability to drive timely agreements with matrix teams.
- Ability to interpret and draft contract language.
