Role Summary
The Director, Supply Chain and CMO Procurement builds, operationalizes, and executes strategic sourcing strategies for CDMO/CMO and Testing Labs to support our Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, and Supply Chain organization. This role also integrates supplier selection, negotiation and contracting, and supplier relationship management with consolidation of spend in partnership across Supply Strategy & Planning, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Process Development Global Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain. The role interfaces closely with business partners to understand priorities and needs, and, in turn, define initiatives to support Sarepta business priorities and growth.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Collaborates and builds productive relationships with Supply Chain, Quality, Process Development and Manufacturing partners and stakeholders, while developing relationships with external key suppliers/CDMO/CMO to identify opportunities for efficiencies, cost savings, risk reduction, and meeting business requirements. Partner with stakeholders to align prioritization and lead execution.
- Category Management: Develop category and sourcing strategies for siRNA program development, clinical material supply, and commercial readiness. Identify potential CDMO/CMO for new programs and ensure appropriate capacity for programs/products at different stages. Lead category strategy implementation and value creation initiatives to deliver cost savings across Drug Substance, Drug Product, Pack & Label, and distribution. Assess risks with stakeholders and develop mitigation plans. Report Procurement metrics and ROI; identify COGS savings opportunities and drive implementation.
- RFx and Contract Negotiation: Lead supplier identification/selection and RFx activities. Negotiate clinical and commercial supply agreements with key suppliers/CMOs/CMP Labs, aligning priorities across Business, Finance and Legal. Develop and implement advanced negotiation strategies and finalize agreements with Legal partnership.
- SRM: Manage the Supplier/CMO Performance/Relationship Management process, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement. Maximize value from supplier relationships and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure supply continuity and process innovation.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of demonstrated relevant Sourcing & Procurement experience in QC GMP Testing/Supply Chain/CMC sourcing; experience in RNA and siRNA manufacturing or chemistry CMO outsourcing is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of GMP requirements and international supply chain complexity
- Experience working with stakeholders/partners at all levels across the organization
- In-depth strategic and operational procurement experience with knowledge of category management

- Strong business acumen and financial analysis capabilities; ability to develop solid business cases to justify investments
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
