How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams supporting day-to-day supplier and operational activities.
- Establish and oversee supplier governance frameworks, performance metrics, and business review processes.
- Drive resolution of supplier and business challenges via communication and conflict management.
- Develop and execute long-term supplier strategies (growth initiatives, portfolio optimization, continuous improvement, supplier transition plans).
- Identify business and supplier risks and develop mitigation/contingency strategies.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment by communicating priorities, expectations, and performance outcomes.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement; coach and develop team members.
- Build executive-level relationships with external suppliers to enhance partnership effectiveness and long-term value.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience (manufacturing operations, external manufacturing, or supply chain).
- 5+ years managing supplier relationships and driving supplier performance improvements.
- Working knowledge of industry best practices in Supply Chain, External Manufacturing, and Supplier Relationship Management.
- Bioprocessing/sterile/on-site pharmaceutical manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Experience leading complex projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong business acumen; analytical/problem-solving/decision-making skills.
- Leadership to influence stakeholders in a matrixed organization; strong communication and global/multicultural collaboration.
- Change management and continuous improvement track record.
- Ability to lead without direct authority; independent in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel ~10–15%.
