Position Summary
As the Director, Strategy & Operations for Data Management, you will lead the multi-year transformation of Data Management at BMS, translating an agentic-first, AI-enabled vision into enterprise execution. You will oversee complex change initiatives end-to-end and connect DQS leadership with cross-functional partners across R&D.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-year Data Management transformation strategy (agentic-first, AI enablement, scalable operational excellence).
- Translate priorities into measurable execution; drive operating cadence (governance, KPIs, decision forums).
- Lead enterprise-wide change initiatives, including change management, value realization, and ROI tracking.
- Standardize and scale process improvements; champion continuous improvement.
- Own end-to-end financial planning/reporting (budget management, vendor spend optimization, risk mitigation).
- Establish performance frameworks (KPIs/governance), resolve risks/issues, and recommend trade-offs.
- Lead multi-team projects for process optimization and communications; pilot and scale innovations.
- Represent DQS in key forums; communicate strategy to diverse audiences; author change communications.
- Supervise/mentor teams (direct or matrix); support talent planning with HR.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree (MBA/MS/PhD/PharmD preferred) in Business Management, Life Sciences, Data Science, CS, Statistics, Programming or related.
- 8+ years in pharma/regulated environment (data management/science/analytics/programming/statistics).
- Strongly preferred: management/strategy consulting or advisory experience.
- 1β3+ years people management.
- Proven program/project leadership; analytics platforms, Microsoft, SharePoint; preference for AI/automation.
- Strategic influence, partnership building, and excellent written/interpersonal communication.
Compensation & Benefits (explicit)
Cambridge Crossing $213,560β$258,788; Princeton, NJ $190,680β$231,060. Additional incentive cash/stock may be available.
