Position Summary:
Director, Strategic Enablement partners with the Head of U.S. Communications & Government Affairs to drive alignment, execution, and operational excellence across a matrixed organization, supporting the USC CGA leadership team (Product, Patient & Internal Comms, Ecosystem Strategy, Public Policy, State & Federal Government Affairs). Acts as connective tissue to establish business rhythms, prioritize enterprise work, improve cross-functional collaboration, and ensure initiatives are executed effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as operational partner to VP of U.S. Communications & Government Affairs; drive alignment across USC functions (e.g., Market Access, US Medical).
- Lead execution of near/medium/long-term projects and strategic initiatives; coordinate with USC and Global functions.
- Translate enterprise priorities into coordinated functional strategies and execution plans.
- Improve collaboration, decision-making, information flow, and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Establish/manage business rhythms (LT meetings, strategic planning, annual goal setting, budget coordination, operating reviews).
- Build scalable processes, governance, and reporting; track priorities, milestones, risks, and action items.
- Develop dashboards/metrics for visibility; coordinate resource planning.
- Prepare executive presentations, briefings, talking points, and leadership communications.
- Facilitate LT decision-making via structured problem solving and recommendations.
- Build partnerships across Commercial, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Corporate Affairs, and Executive Leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- 10+ years experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare/public or government affairs/communications or related.
- Experience supporting senior executives in matrixed organizations.
- Experience leading cross-functional strategic/operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven executive communication/presentation experience.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree.
- Experience in Government Affairs/Public Policy/Corporate Communications/Corporate Affairs.
- Understanding of U.S. healthcare policy and pharmaceutical landscape.
- Demonstrated operational excellence/effectiveness initiatives.
- Strategic influence/stakeholder management; strong performance in fast-paced environments; analytical/problem-solving skills; discretion; executive presence.
Compensation & Benefits (US):
- Base salary range: $171,000β$285,000; annual bonus; eligibility for share-based long-term incentive.
