Patient Advocacy
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement corporate objective-based Thought Leader engagement plans to identify and gather insights.
- Track Thought Leader insights to identify market gaps/opportunities supporting commercial and marketing strategy.
- Serve as primary liaison with Thought Leaders, representing brand interests and collaborating with internal leadership.
- Ensure alignment with brand team vision/strategic imperatives.
- Manage regional/national conventions and congresses, and commercial advisory boards supporting marketing.
- Identify, coordinate, and contract appropriate Thought Leaders for compliant consulting (e.g., advisory boards, training).
- Coordinate sponsorships and Patient Advocacy Organizations (enterprise-wide, not tactical).
- Support Speaker Bureau and deliver high-quality Speaker Programs; assist with speaker selection and act as primary speaker point of contact.
- Operate in accordance with company code of conduct and policies; maintain ethical/compliance standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- 12+ years commercial pharma/biotech experience in rare disease (high-science therapeutic area).
- Bachelor’s in life sciences/pharmacy/related (advanced degree preferred).
- Midwest location preferred; national conference coverage.
- Retina/Ophthalmology field-marketing or rare disease launch experience preferred.
- Strong Ophthalmology therapeutic-area and competitive-trend knowledge.
- Proven track record developing Thought Leader strategies (compliant, engaging).
- Travel ~40% including weeknights/weekends.

Compensation/Benefits:
- Base salary $200,000–$235,000; eligible for short- and long-term incentive programs.
