Director, Statistical Programming

Role: Statistical Programming Director leading programming teams within AstraZeneca's Oncology Biometrics, focusing on phase 1/2 oncology trials across multiple mechanisms and indications. Responsibilities: provide strategic programming leadership, manage and mentor a diverse group of programmers, oversee outsourced and internal study deliverables, ensure compliance with industry standards and GxP, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives for process improvement and automation. Requirements: minimum 10 years of experience in clinical development with advanced SAS programming skills, 7+ years in people or project management, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and deep understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory standards (e.g., CDISC, 21CFR Part 11). Preferred: oncology experience (hemes and solid tumors), familiarity with open source or AI in programming, and background in regulatory submissions.
