Director/Senior Director, Finance & Assistant Controller

Role: Senior finance leadership overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance within a publicly traded biotech firm, focusing on revenue, inventory, and COGS accounting. Responsibilities: lead monthly and annual close processes, ensure GAAP and SOX compliance, manage complex transactions, enhance policies and controls, oversee revenue recognition and inventory costing, collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Clinical, FP&A), and support audits and process improvements. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, CPA, 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including SEC reporting and biotech/pharma industry expertise; strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and federal/state tax laws; leadership skills.
