Director, Scientific Communications – ONCOLOGY

Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and align strategic, integrated medical communications efforts.
- Develop global scientific communication platform(s) to support evidence-based internal and external communications.
- Drive creation of meaningful scientific communications tailored to diverse audience needs.
- Lead collation of Integrated Medical Communication Plans (IMCP).
- Lead development and alignment of comprehensive IMCP(s).
- Set and communicate scientific communication objectives and goals; develop a tactical plan for compliant execution.
- Partner with Medical Director(s) and key internal stakeholders on an overarching Congress strategy and alignment on Tier 2 congress presence and deliverables.
- Drive creation/development of scientific and digital communications materials including:
- Scientific Communication Platform, Lexicon and Narrative
- Congress presence (coordinate on Tier 1 booth design/content; execute Tier 2 planning/end-to-end execution)
- Program and scientific slides
- Disease-state education materials
- Data/publication updates
- In collaboration with therapeutic area medical directors and Field Medical Leads, assess external stakeholder medical education gaps and needs.
- Identify and prioritize scientific educational opportunities for targeted stakeholders.
- Address knowledge gaps/clinical impact opportunities with tailored, timely content adaptable across geographies and platforms (including digital).
- Lead projects through medical review committees to obtain endorsement of appropriate materials.
- Ensure medical/scientific integrity, accuracy, and fair/balanced representation.
- Partner with Project Manager to ensure on-time delivery within allocated budget and track budget spend.
- Maintain adherence to ethical and compliance standards (β€œpatient first” mindset).

Qualifications:
- PhD, MD, or PharmD.
- 8+ years of relevant oncology medical communication experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in medical communication strategies, congress planning, scientific content development, and medical education.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ethical integrity.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization.

Work Location / Schedule:
- On-site 4 days/week in Warren, NJ or Sleepy Hollow, NY; occasional travel between sites.
