Job Responsibilities:
- Lead Scientific Affairs activities supporting rare-disease diagnosis and management.
- Lead data generation plans to address evidence gaps.
- Drive real-world evidence (e.g., phase IV studies, managed access) to inform regulatory, commercial, and access needs.
- Support analyses and dissemination of data from real-world registries and data repositories.
- Oversee secondary analyses of clinical trial data based on field insights and knowledge gaps.
- Contribute to the strategic plan and develop data generation/dissemination activities.
- Lead development of scientific publications aligned to the Brand Plan and Medical Strategic Plan.
- Partner cross-functionally to create educational materials for stakeholders (e.g., physicians, patients).
- Educate internal teams on the therapeutic area.
- Build relationships with thought leaders, HCPs, study investigators, and professional organizations in assigned geography; engage in scientific exchange.
- Serve as liaison for investigator-initiated research proposal review.
- Collaborate with external scientists and clinicians on related projects.
- Deliver impactful presentations (e.g., advisory boards, patient advocacy groups).
Qualifications:
- Masterβs or higher degree in a science/clinical field (MD/DO/PharmD/PhD/NP/PA/MPH/MHS/MS).
- 5+ years in medical affairs or clinical/scientific research and publications.
- Knowledge/experience in rare disease; background in clinical research/data generation/analysis.
- Prior author experience on scientific publications; strong ability to write/edit scientific content (abstracts, posters, presentations, manuscripts).
Skills/Abilities:
- Statistical methods knowledge (clinical design, survival/longitudinal analysis); epidemiology/biostatistics.
- Analyze data with Excel (or equivalent); create data tables/visualizations.
- Strong oral/written communication; literature identification.
- Proficiency with MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel for publication authoring; collaboration; prioritize/meet deadlines; travel up to 30%.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $235,000β$250,000 USD (base salary; bonuses/equity/benefits only if otherwise provided).
