Role: Senior leader responsible for enhancing CSL's presence and deal flow within regional biotech innovation ecosystems, primarily focused on San Diego. Responsibilities: engage with universities, incubators, venture capital, and industry organizations; lead deal teams from opportunity sourcing through due diligence and closing; represent CSL at local events and industry bodies; collaborate with R&D, business development, and legal teams to evaluate and integrate external assets; provide regional biotech market insights. Requirements: 12+ years in biopharma, external innovation, or BD; advanced degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent); proven track record in sourcing, evaluating, and executing external partnerships; strong regional network and relationship-building skills in academia, biotech, and investment sectors.
